“It would be difficult to over-state the positive impact that changing to this text has had on both my ability to communicate complex ideas to the students and on their ability to comprehend them.  An instructor can have a deep understanding of a given topic, but if the students cannot follow up outside of class with cogent explanations in the text, then the text itself becomes an impediment instead of an aid in teaching.”
